In Word and earlier versions, comments shown in the balloon area are numbered sequentially. It is practical to be able to refer to comment numbers, especially in documents with many comments. I am curious. The procedure may remove data that cannot be restored. If a page has too many comments for Word to have room for all the comment text, the comments will be collapsed.
