You’ll see a message near the top of your screen informing you that you’re currently in a meeting on another device, and asking if you want to join it on this one, too. Tap Join. You’ll then see two options: Add this device , and Transfer to this device. Tap Add this device. If you join this way, we’ll mute your companion device’s mic and speaker to avoid causing an echo effect.

When you’re ready to share something from the companion device, tap Start presenting at the bottom of the screen. On your other device, you’ll be able to see what you’re sharing, just like everyone else in the meeting. When you’re finished, tap Stop presenting , or simply hang up. This setting controls whether a user can share the whiteboard in a meeting. External users, including anonymous, B2B, and federated users, inherit the policy of the meeting organizer.

Amanda can’t share the whiteboard in a meeting even if she’s the meeting organizer. Daniela can share the whiteboard even if a meeting is organized by Amanda. When whiteboard is enabled, your users will have the option to use annotation , a feature that allows participants to collaborate while sharing their screen in a Teams meeting.

 
 

Play and share a meeting recording in Teams

 

To take control while another person is sharing, select Request control. The person sharing can then approve or deny your request. While you have control, you can make selections, edits, and other modifications to the shared screen.

This one happens to have all company permissions so that everyone in my company can play it. Hit Share and then copy that direct link. And I can see that Megan and Adele are already in my meeting.

Adele is using Teams with a web client and Megan is using Teams with a desktop client. So when I get to the slides of the videos embedded, I can just hit the play button to start the video.

And I can advance to my Stream video and it works in a very similar way. But there is one more thing I want to show you in PowerPoint Rich Client, which is you can also insert videos that are stored on your local hard drive. And there it is. Important: As of earlyTeams meeting recordings are no longer saved to Microsoft Stream. All meeting recordings are now saved to OneDrive and SharePoint.

Note: Mobile users should update to the latest version of the Teams app for iOS and Android in order to experience meeting recording and video playback in Teams. Play a meeting recording. If your org is still using Microsoft Stream not OneDrive and SharePoint to store recordings and you are a meeting owner, you can change permissions and allow people without access to view a meeting recording. Go here for further details. For channel meetings, the recording will be stored in a Recordings folder in the Files tab for the channel. The Files shariny stores all files in a SharePoint site and document library for the channel. Everyone who is a part of the channel will have permission to edit and view the recording.

For non-channel meetings, the recording will be stored in the Recordings sharing a video in a microsoft teams meeting in the OneDrive directory of the person who started the recording. But everyone invited to the meeting will be able to view the recording. If you recorded or organized the meeting, you can share the recording with people who weren’t invited to the meeting—by just sharing it like you would share any other file.

Just find the file in OneDrive or SharePoint and share it directly with people or copy a link and share it however you like. If you weren’t the person who recorded or organized the meeting, you can still share the recording with people weren’t invited to the meeting.
