I was using Lumion LiveSync for a while and everything worked perfectly, but this week i’ve reinstalled Revit and Lumion LiveSync. After that, every attempt to export a collada file from any Revit model ended up in the “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” error message. I’ve tried to reinstall Revit, Lumion, LiveSync, but the issue perssits. We have a solution. Im using Revit and Lumion 8 and i can not export my model from Revit. Its shows up the error: O b ject reference not set to an instance of an object.

That does not yet exist but thanks for the suggestion. Livesync in Lumion 10 is most of the time not working and I have to reload the Lumion model to make it working again. Hopefully this issue can be fix because it is a big wasting of time, especially when you work on multi million dollar projects!

I turned livesync on and placed the model from Revit to Lumion. Sometimes I need to modify elements in those linked models, so I do that.

Then I reload links in the “Rendering Model” so those changes reflect, which then automatically updates in Lumion. I am not renaming any materials in Revit anymore, so I don’t know why it would erase all material changes I made in Lumion. This issue is defeating the purpose of using LiveSync. Hi Francisco, the first advice I’d like to give you is to never install cracked versions of Lumion as they prevent the legal version of Lumion from working correctly.

We use Revit for modeling toposurfaces and massing, and the full fersion of Revit costs too much to be used just as a massing and site editor in our case.

Hi Sergiu, Revit is already fully supported. However, Revit LT only has limited support and you have to export your model via. DWG format. This is a technical limitation. Do the previous versions of lumion livesync work for the newest version of revit? For example, does livesync 2. But you can still use Collada exporter from add-in. I have an bump texture in my model, but when I exported there is no bump texture on Textures folder. I am using Revit How can i export bump texture.

Hey Artur, From the links below, I see you’ve released the source to the collada export before. However, the source is kind of outdated now. Is there any chance you’ll release the source again or some api? I want to export collada from revit programmatically without automating the lumion UI.
